Not in the hands of man

School is about to start soon. I definitely have to say I'm excited, my Summer has been spent waiting for it to be over so I could start classes and feel as though I'm accomplishing something. I must say I've had to make some hard choices over the Summer, some great opportunities have presented themselves on a silver platter, some of which I have accepted, most of which I have declined because of school schedule conflict.

I believe that God has something great in store for not only me this coming semester, but my school and the student body as a whole.  I'm not exactly sure why, but there has been a single word that has been running through my head for roughly the past three weeks - Breakthrough! Satan has been hitting me hard over the course of the summer, coming against me with all sorts of things to try to trip me up, and I definitely don't believe that I'm the only one.  There are no two-ways about it, it's no secret the school is going through some changes, possibly taking some of us out of our comfort zones and into, what I believe, is going to be something fresh and exciting.  I also believe that even though some news may come as a surprise to some of us, it most certainly has not caught the creator of the universe off guard. In fact, I believe it to be nothing more than a new level, simply a part of God's plan and purpose for our lives and for the school.

One of the things I'm most looking forward to at the turn of the new semester is the revival that kicks it all off. The perfect opportunity for us to let go of our agendas, plans, worries, and whatever else we had to deal with over the summer, and focus more on God's agenda, and plans for our lives.  I cannot wait to begin the new school year!

Though there may be a little uncertainty going into this next year, don't lose heart and know this, God has us all here for a reason.  He holds the future of our lives and the future of our school in the palm of his hand, so we can be certain that there is no cause for concern.  I love all of my friends and mentors at Messenger College and can't wait to see everyone in the Fall.  I count it a privilege to be here and to be in the will of God.

Romans 8:28 - And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. NIV

Jer 29:11-13 - 11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
